He was a member of Wilsonville Baptist Church, retired from Jefferson County Sanitation Department, enjoyed talking to friends on his C.B. Radio, and spending time with his grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Elizabeth Ray. He is survived by his daughter, Christen Ray (Alex Mendoza); grandson, Caydon Ray; brothers, Terry (Glenda) Ray, all of Newport, Ricky Ray of Cosby; sisters, Michelle (Kevin) Blazer of Dandridge and Nora Faye (Bruce) Green of Newport; also several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm Monday, May 15, 2017 with funeral services following in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tim Pruitt officiating.
