Mrs. Jennie Webb Valentine, age 72, of Cosby, passed away, May 16, 2001, at her home.
She was a loving mother and devoted homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Willard Webb and Trula B. Webb; husband, Junior Valentine; and daughter, June Carol.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Ernestine (Lonnie) Ledford, of Cosby, Gerald (Reba) Valentine, of Cosby, Debbie (Charles) Williams, of Cosby, Jeff (Vanessa) Valentine, of Cosby, Marilyn (Mark) Trentham, of Newport, Tammy (Larry) Walker, of Morristown, Terry (Wayne) Webb, of Cosby, and Mike and Amy, whom she raised as her own; special adopted daughters, Sandy, Louise and Cindy; grandchildren, Mike, Robin and Sharon Benson, Kenny Ledford, Jeff and Steven Valentine, Jacqui Rogers, Kelvin, Scott and Charlie Williams, Brooke and Junior Valentine, Amy Valentine, Casey and David Gilliam, Amanda and Stone Trentham, Andrea and Erin Walker, Brandi, Macie and Kaylie Webb, and special granddaughters-in-law; 16 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, George “Smutt” (Lucille) Webb, of Cosby, Lloyd (Faye) Webb, of Ohio, Ernest (Edna) Webb, of Newport; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2001, at Caney Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Dennis Serber and Rev. David “Sunshine” Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Valentine Family Cemetery behind her home.
Mrs. Valentine will be taken to her home where friends may call at their convenience beginning at 7 p.m., Thursday evening, May 17, 2001.
