He was an active member and deacon of Emory Pike American Christian Church and retired employee of Franklin Brick Co. He was an honor member of Evening Star Masonic Lodge #180, Claiborne Co. TN. He was preceded in death by: a loving spouse of 41 years, Ruth W. Drummonds infant son, William Jerry Drummonds parents, Clarence and Mossie Drummonds and sister, Edna Grace Drummonds. He is survived by: devoted wife of 11 years, Mary W. Drummonds children, Dixie and husband Robert A. Ross, Winston Salem NC, Sherry and husband Greg E. Cunningham, Knoxville, Michael and wife Susan Duncan, Powell grandchildren, Rachel, Abigail and Benjamin Ross, Winston Salem NC, Tyler and Jacob Cunningham, Knoxville, Sarah Beth and Lily Duncan, Powell brother and sister-in-law, Claude T. and Shirley Drummonds, Morristown nephews, Jeff S. Drummonds, Franklin, TN, David S. Drummonds, Woodstock, GA, Lamar A. Drummonds, Baton Rouge, LA niece, Eve Drummonds, Maryville, TN father-in-law, Tyler Warwick, Knoxville and a host of many relatives and friends. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 10:15 am Tuesday to proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for a graveside service at 11 am. Pallbearers: Randy Dooley, Rodney Dooley, Jeff Drummonds, David Drummonds, Brian Russell and Craig Neely. Honorary Pallbearers: Joe Neely, Robert M. Dooley, Gene Wyrick, Gary Davis, Tommy Russell and Claude Smith. The family wishes to thank their many friends and the staff at Thompson Cancer Survival Center for their support.
