The reception followed at the Timuquana Country Club. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Doran Thompson of Jacksonville, Fla. and the granddaughter of Judge and Mrs. Joel Stewart Thwaites and Mr. and Mrs. James Ernest Thompson, all of Atlanta. She is a graduate of the Bolles School in Jacksonville and Vanderbilt University. She is employed by Medtronic Sofamor Danek. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Stephenson Rising of Lawrenceville, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Guilford Andrew Kyker and the late Martha Coyner Kyker from Jackson, Miss. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Helder Reginald Rising of Brunswick. He is a graduate of Greater Atlanta Christian School and Georgia State University. He is employed by Merrill Lynch. After a honeymoon to Bermuda, the couple now resides in Atlanta.
