Parrott, age 76 of Sevierville, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at UT Hospital after a lengthy illness with cancer. He fought a hard battle. Mr. Parrott was of the Baptist faith. He was retired, having worked with Lester Bohanan for many years. He worked all over Sevier, Jefferson and Blount County. He loved fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sonya Parrott; mother and father, Emmons and Ruth Parrott; brothers, Bob, Gene, and Gary Parrott; sisters, Marie Allen, Almeda Bohanan, Marilyn Price, Charlene Cate; mother and father-in-law, Clyde and lla Lane; nephew, Rick Allen. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Parrott; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Marshall Dykes; Jim and Tammy Mays, whom he thought of as a son; grandchildren, Lindsey and Aaron Smith, Derek and Whitney Dykes, Garon Smith, Corbin Smith, Harper Dykes; brother and sister-in-law, James and Doris Price; sisters and brother-in-law, Nadine Parton, Joann and Dale Carr; sister-in-law, Sue Rolen; nieces, Sharon Shelton, Debbie Williams, Evonne Maples, Jan Albano, Melissa Mays, Mendi Foster, Sharon Allen, Megan Smelcer, Shelby Maples, Ali Antemann, Jennifer, Jocelyn Price, Jessica Phelps, Sarah Wilson; nephews, Bobby Parton, Jeffrey Bohanan, Brandon Carr, Seth Shahan, Zachery Sawyer and Ronnie McCarter; special friends, Merita and Freddy Gregory, Missy Wagner, Amanda Caton, Judy King and Steve Marshall; special babies, Chang and Sissy. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Dialysis Clinic, Inc (Sevierville) and to the staff of UT Hospital, Pigeon Forge Care and Rehabilitation Center and to all of his doctors.
