Mason, age 78, of Newport, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2006 at her home. She was very active in the West End Tabernacle Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Eugene Mason; parents, Payton and Bertha Ford Baxter; sister, Helen Baxter; brother, Cecil Baxter. She is survived by her children, Randy Cagle and Linda Powell, Dennie Ottinger and the late Glenn Ottinger, Diane Rice and husband Tim Rice, Hollie Ramsey and her husband, Randy Ramsey; grandchildren, Christie Cagle Carter, Brent Cagle, Kandus Rice, Miranda Ramsey, Brad Ramsey, Mason Ottinger; great grandchildren, Flint Carter, Cora Lindy Carter, Tison Johnson; special granddaughters, Heather Rice and Whitney Kolar. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Monday, July 3, 2006 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Earl Campbell officiating. Burial will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 4, 2006 in Union Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Mike Kolar, Jackie Jenkins, J.L. Kincaid, Larry Brown, John Clark ,Brad Johnson and David Campbell. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday July 3, 2006 at Manes Funeral home prior to the funeral.
