L. “Load Stone” Banks, age 61, of Newport, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Rulin Banks; brothers, Bobby, Benny and Ronnie Banks; brother-in-law, Chris McGaha; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Wilma Graves; and best friend Chucky Finchum. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Banks, of Newport; daughters Tracy Banks and Harley Banks of Newport; granddaughter, Autumn Banks; sisters, Betty Wise, of Newport; and Thelma Banks, of Dandridge; brothers-in-law, Grey and George Graves; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Graves, Ollie Webb and husband Walter; and several nieces, nephews and a host of special family and friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, April 6, 2012 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Cleo Williamson and Rev. Stephen Swann officiating. Burial will follow in Webbs Creek Cemetery.
