MAPLES, GLEN "PAP" - age 79, of Maryville, died Sunday, October 29, 2000, at his home. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from the Aluminum Company with 39 years of service and was a member of the 25 Year Service Club. He was preceded in death by parents, John and Martha Maples; brothers, Mack Maples and Johnny Maples; sisters, Bessy Dunlap, Myrtle Martin, Laurie Wolf and Charlotte Hicks.
Survivors include wife, Betty Yearout Maples; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Roger Gregory; son and daughter- in-law, Danny and Kathy Maples; sons, Terry Maples and Ricky Maples, all of Maryville; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchilden; sisters, Analou Jennings of Maryville; brother, Herman Maples of Knoxville. Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, in the McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with Rev. Bill White officiating. The interment was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, in Grandview Cemetery. The family received friends from 6:30-8 p.m.Tuesday, Oct. 31, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
