Anna Lou Jennings, age 95 of Maryville passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Green Meadow Church of God and a descendant of Metcalf Bottoms area of Cades Cove. Preceded in death by husband, William Lee Jennings; daughters, Edith Jennings, Wanda Campbell; two infant sons; sisters, Lydia, Laura, Charlotte, Myrtle and Bessie; brothers, Glen, Mack and Johnnie; parents, John and Martha Maples. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Pink and Judy Jennings of Maryville, Rev. Dean and Virginia Jennings of Maryville; daughters and son-in-law, Betty Campbell of Alcoa and Dorothy and Paul Lovin of Knoxville; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Herman Maples of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Martha Gribble of Maryville. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 06, 2004 at Green Meadow Church Of God, 642 West Hunt Road, Alcoa, Rev. Donnie Baker and Rev. J.D. Nuchols officiating. The graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Rocky Branch Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Green Meadow Church of God, arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville. Smokies Traveler
