December 2, 1953 - June 17, 2014 Resided in Sevierville, TN On Monday, June 16, 2014 at 9:10AM David Lee Lewelling was called home by his loving father, Jesus Christ. David was a member of First Baptist Church of Pigeon Forge. Along with his outstanding musical achievements, David was also a youth leader for many years, an assistant teacher at the special learning center, held a pilot's license, served on The Sevierville Housing Authority Board of Directors for over 20 years, and operated the Capri Motel for 25 years. David also enjoyed NASCAR racing, camping, horseback riding, SCHS and UT football and basketball, but his greatest love was spending time on his farm and being with his family. David was preceded in death by his father, James "Jack" Lewelling; mother, Mary Ruth Cooksey; step-father, John E. Cooksey; brother, James Hugh Lewelling Jr. His survivors include: Wife: Connie Maples Lewelling Stepson: Chad Owenby (Conchita) Stepdaughters: Leslie Justus (Jeff), Wendy Patterson (Greg) Grandchildren: Pailen Maples, Rylie Patterson Stepgrandchildren: Jenna Justus, Haley, Micah and Reed Johnson Stepmother: Sue M. Duncan Sisters: Cathy Reed (H.M.), Beth Pulley (Bob) Stepsisters: Cindy Withers, Janet Kelly Nieces: Christie R. Flynn (Travis), Jennifer R. Hamilton (Shannon), Allison P. Cisneros Nephew: Andrew Pulley Great nieces: Saydie Flynn, Stella Hamilton Great nephews: Cooper Flynn, Jackson Hamilton The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday with a funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev.
