THOMPSON, Betty Jean age 63, of Maryville, died Thursday, November 25, 2004 after a brief courageous battle with cancer, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church and was employed as an LPN with Medic Regional Blood Center of Knoxville. Her true loves were working in her home and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 13 years, Jackie M. Thompson, her parents, Olear and Edna Lowe, her brother and sister, Harvey and Beulah Lowe.
She is survived by her Son and Daughter-in-law, Randy and Paula Thompson; Grandchildren, Kevin and Katie Thompson all of Maryville; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Olear "Sonny" Jr. and Bobbie Lowe of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Charles "Buddy" and Delores Lowe, Max L. Lowe, Daniel Lowe, and Robert and Bonnie Lowe, all of Maryville; Sisters and Brothers-in- law, Marlene Teffeteller of Maryville, Ernestine and Ralph Ball of Newport, TN., Irene and Donald Purky of Helen, GA., and Darlene and Dwight Smalling of Maryville; Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Larry and Jeanette Thompson of Louisville; Many Nieces, Nephews, and a host of family and friends;
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2004 at 8:00 PM in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. John Coates officiating. Interment services will be held on Monday, November 29, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Laurel Bank Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 2330 Chesterfield Drive, Maryville, TN 37803, in Betty name. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 28, 2004 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary Co., Maryville, 865-983-1000
