Ruth Olds passed away March 5, 2004 in Inter-Community Hospital, Newfane. Born May 29, 1908 in the Town Of Pendleton she was the daughter of Edwin and Effie Wells Olds. Ruth retired as treasurer of the Moss Insurance Agency in June of 1973, after 27 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for over 60 years and was the church secretary from 1939 to 1946. She was a longtime member of the Y.W.C.A. and the Lockport Senior Citizens. She is survived by her sister, Doris (Gary Stark) of Lockport, aunt of Susan (Tarrell) A. Preston of Lockport, Janet (Gary P.) McOmber of Rochester, the late Marcia Singley and David M. Olds. Ruth was also predeceased by her brother, Dr. Edwin Olds. There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the conveniecne of the family. Memorials to the chairty of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
