MOYERS, CECIL EARL - age 92 of Knoxville passed away December 29, 2008. Member of West Lonsdale Baptist Church. Former 46 year member of Euclid Ave. Baptist Church where he served his Lord, teaching Sunday school and Bible classes. Retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 1981 as a Structural Engineer after 38 years of continuous service. Preceded in death by wife of 66 years, Margaret; parents, Lillian and Casper Moyers; brothers, Ross and Clyde Sims; and sisters, Gladys Carter, and Ruth Harrell. Survived by three children, Judy Puryear of Knoxville, Rebecca Haj-Hasan, of Amman, Jordan, and Charles Moyers of Nashville; sister, Aileen Moyers of Knoxville; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and 1 great-great-grandson. Visitation will be from 12-1 pm Friday at Weaver Funeral Home with service to follow at 1 pm. Family and friends will meet 2:15 pm Friday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 2:30 pm graveside service.
