Walker, William Jack, age 81, of Knoxville, passed away on January 11, 2011. Jack was a member and deacon at Meridian Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Young High School and retired from John H. Coleman after 25 years of service. Preceded in death by father and mother, William and Cora Walker; sister, Margaret Patterson; brothers, James and Herbert Walker. Survived by wife, Jeanette Walker; daughters, Patricia Walker, Deborah Smith and husband, Gary Smith; grandson and wife, Greg and Melissa Smith, grandson, Chris Smith; great-grandson, Billy Smith; great-granddaughters, Kendra and Ashley Smith; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Dana Fachman officiating. The interment will follow at Meridian Baptist Church Cemetery.
