(February 1, 1946 - July 21, 2012) U.S. Veteran Daniel F. Davis, age 66, of Townsend, passed away, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at his home. Daniel was a veteran of the US Army, having served in Vietnam. He was retired from ALCOA Aluminum Company and a member of the 25 year club. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lillie Dunn Davis; sister, Beulah Ann Davis; and brother, Larry Davis. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joyce Ledbetter Davis; daughters and sons-in-law, Dana and Brent Lund, and Jennifer and Chad Yarnell; grandchildren, DJay, Sarah, and Levi Yarnell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon and Barbara Davis, and Lacy and Denese Davis; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alma Sue Hatcher, Judy Burger, Kathy and Lonnie Neeley, and Pat and Horace Brown; sister-in-law, Margaret Davis; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends. Family and friends will gather for the graveside service and interment 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Ronnie Hepperly officiating.
