MCFALLS, MAJOR - age 87 of Kingston passed away Thursday September 24, 2009 at home surrounded by his family. Major attended Victory Baptist Church. Served in the Army during WWII earning 5 bronze stars. He was a brick mason for 60 years. His special joy was fishing. Our family would like to extend special thanks to JoAnne Spurling with Covenant Hospice service, she was a blessing. Preceded in death by parents, John Wesley and Josie McFalls; brothers, Sherrel and Sam McFalls; daughter, Josie Annette and son Jerry McFalls. Survived by wife, Hazel Bradley McFalls; sons, Major Hugh and wife Sue, Tommy, Wayne and wife Marcia, Ralph (Sonny) and wife Lennie all of Kingston; brothers, J. R. McFalls of MI, Wayne McFalls of Sevierville; sisters, Melissa, Ivalee, and Juanita all of Sevierville; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; special people, Charlotte Lewis and Luther and Faye Brackens. Funeral 7 pm Saturday, September 26, 2009, in the Kyker Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Chasteen and Rev. Jeff Plemons officiating. Burial 2 pm Sunday in Calvary Cemetery with military honors given by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 pm Saturday at the Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston. Pallbearers will be Bobby, Jason, Jeff, and Larry McFalls, Brian Walker and Harold Owings. www.kykerfuneralhome.com
