  [S4] Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee), 4 Mar 2001. FORD, MARY VIOLA - age 96, of LaFollette, passed away early Sunday morning, March 4, 2001, at the St. Mary's Hospital of Campbell Co. Mrs. Ford was a member of the Ford Town Baptist Church. Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by husband, Byrd D. Ford; son, Newman Ford; parents, William and Martha Pyle Longmire; grandson, Bill Ford; sister, Wilma Longmire and brothers, Edd and Jack Longmire. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Overton Knox of Dayton, Ohio, Glenna and Everett Gross, Alice and Rev. Ralph Leach, and Della Leach, all of LaFollette, Judy and Roger McCarter of Caryville; sisters, Grace Reynolds of Nashville and Virginia Partin of Louisiana; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Funeral service Wednesday 2 p.m., Ford Town Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Leach and Rev. David Hicks officiating. Interment in Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Martin Wilson Funeral Home.
