She attended Newport Grammar School and graduated from Cocke County High School. Barbara was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church and was church pianist for several years. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Chris Hukill; son and daughter-in-law, George and Jamie Honsaker; grandchildren, Hannah and Max Honsaker and Cooper Hukill, all of Frisco, Tex.; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Kim Gorman, of Muncie, Ind.; mother, Helen S. Gorman, of Newport. Barbara donated her body to medical research. There will be a memorial service at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. Arrangements by The University of Texas, Dallas, Health Science Department.
