Katherine ”Gungy” Shelton ,age 95, devoted mother and grandmother passed away Jan 6, 2007 at Baptist Convalescent Center after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Sally Frazier, husband James “Buster” Shelton, brothers Perry, Arlie, Cecil, and Ruble Frazier, sisters Elsie Buckner and Bertha Arms. Survivors include daughter and son in law Jean and Alvin Watts, grandchildren Kathy and Randy Ragan, Ben and Carrie Watts, Rachel and Mike Livesay and Beth cruz, great-grandchildren Ben and Nickie Watts, Allison Watts, Ashely Cruz, Corey Ragan, Casey Ragan, Nate Watts, Jacob Livesay, and Elizabeth Livesay, great-great-grandchild Ben Watts III, several nieces and nephews, devoted caretakers at home and Baptist Convalescent Center. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Monday jan. 8, 2007 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alvin Watts and Rev. Ben Watts officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8 Monday prior to the funeral services. Graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 9, 2007 in Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be to the Baptist Hospital Foundation for the Baptist Convalescent Center at 865-632-5678.
