Myers, Penny Carter- age 75, of Maryville, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 7, 2008. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church of Maryville where she was a very active in the Women’s Missions Organization. Preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Ruby Radford, Donald Carter, Fred Carter, Jr., Alton Carter, Syble Lowe, Arlene Tate and Bobbie Joe Carter.
Survivors
Survived by loving and devoted husband of 54 years, A.J. “Jim” Myers; daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Rodney Best, Renee and Daniel Franklin; son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Christy Myers; grandchildren, Greg and Jenny Gideon, Jason and Valerie Reagan, Marissa Myers, Andrew Myers; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Joshua Gideon; brothers and sisters, Gordon (Kathryn) Carter, Sue (Dean) Crisp, Joy Carter, Sue (David) Scarlett; several other family members and a host of friends.
Service
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Broadway Baptist Church in Maryville with a celebration of life service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. David Webster officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 for interment services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Broadway Baptist Church Building Fund, 2329 E. Broadway Avenue, Maryville, Tennessee 37804. Arrangements by Sherwood Chapel, Alcoa, Tennessee.
