Kermit Lee “Bo” Phillips, age 46, of Newport, passed away, Monday, February 9, 2009. He was an accomplished drummer and attended Camden Military Academy. He was preceded in death by his son, Mickey Lee Phillips; grandparents, Rev. Kermit Phillips and Viola Phillips; special aunt, Ruth Bradley. He is survived by his parents, Arnold and Margaret Phillips; son, Andy Phillips, Newport; brother, Paladin Phillips; fiancée, Louise Jenkins all of Newport; cousins, Brenda and Buddy Reese, Coldwater, Miss, Glen and Gail Bradley, Newport, Bert and Jena Bradley, Pigeon Forge, Chet and Jeanene Bradley, Lorie and Wayne Green, Caleb and Landon Green, Lisa and Todd Gable, Conner Gable, Amy and Tim Gann; Skylar, Gabriel, Zach Reese; and other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm, Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in Manes Funeral Home West Chapel, with Rev. Larry Frazier officiating. Burial will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday in Manes Funeral Home West Chapel prior to the funeral services.
