Randle Lawson "Sunny" Guffey Sr., 61, of Sevierville, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001 at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father, Randle Guffee. Survivors include his wife, Lois Jean Guffey; son, Randle "Randy" Guffey Jr.; mother, Helen Carey; stepfather, Truman John Carey; sisters, Betty Faye Guffee, Peggy Kugley and husband David; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lester and Georgianna Bohanan, Ray and MaryLynn Nelson, Glenn and Kay Whaley, Linda Stephens, Klaus and Geraldine Silber, Conley and Karin Whaley, David E. Whaley; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Brother Leon Rosco officiating.
