He retired as an accountant from Bush Brothers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Clevenger Thompson. He is survived by his son, Steve Thompson; daughter Jan Russell and husband Ledford; grandchildren, Stephen Thompson and wife Jennifer, Jonathan Thompson and wife Lori, Lauren Brock and husband T.J., and Brooklyn Russell; great-grandchildren, Madison Thompson, Cole Thompson, and Maggie Thompson; and special family friends, Jennifer Stone and Robert Larkin. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in the Union Cemetery with Father David Garrett officiating.
