(March 15, 1932 - March 26, 2011) Fred Douglas, age 79, of Bybee, passed away, Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center St. Mary’s, Knoxville, TN. He was a charter member of Centerview Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board and also as a trustee and had held other offices in the church. Fred was a member of Warrensburg Masonic Lodge # 631. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Douglas; father Roscoe Douglas; and brother, Carroll (Mod) Douglas. He is survived by his wife, Mary Nell Douglas of Bybee; daughter, Wanda Jo Holt and husband Allen; grandsons, Daniel Holt and Benjamin Holt, all of Newport; stepmother, Jocie Douglas of Bybee; also other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Monday, March 28, 2011 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Centerview Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Thomas Holt, Rev. Sherman Ball and Rev. Gary Miller officiating .
