She had been in declining health for several years. The wife of the late Hugh Padgett, she was born in Bybee, Tenn., and was the daughter of the late Julius and Essie Buckner Holt. She had been a resident of New Jersey since 1945, coming from Tennessee. She was a member of Friendship-Finley United Methodist Church in Upper Deerfield Township. Survivors include two sons, P. Marvin Padgett, Fairfield Township, N.J. and Ronald Padgett, Cedarville, N.J. ; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dale H. Padgett; two brothers, Harold Holt and James Holt and three sisters, Pauline Howell, Junella Lovell and Norma Cody. Funeral services will be held in the Padgett Fueneral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Bridgeton, N.J., on Monday afternoon, Dec. 18 at 1 o'clock. Burial will be in Laurel Lawn Cemetery, Bridgeton, N.J.
