Charlene C. Ford, age 65, of Newport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a member of Crossroads Community Church. Being a Registered Nurse, Charlene dedicated her life to taking care of others. She loved to camp and work in her many flower gardens, especially her roses. Charlene is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Fox; her dad, O’Dell Williamson; and her sister-in-law, Linda Williamson. She is survived by her mom, Aileen Williamson of Newport; husband of 47 years, Bill Ford of Newport; son, Dr. Keith Ford of Seymour; daughter and son-in-law, Susan (Rick) Clevenger of Newport; brothers and sisters-in-law, Van (Phyllis) Fox of Newport; Tommy (Jemima) Williamson of Newport; Ronnie “Birdeye” Williamson of Daleville, Alabama; sister, Connie Nabors of Newport; sister-in-law, Linda Sharp of Knoxville; grandchildren, Chelsea Clevenger of Newport; Brandon and Casey Ford of Seymour and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. A special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Hill and Charlie Grooms for the wonderful care that was given to Charlene. The family would like to also thank Neil Shults. The family will receive friends in Manes Funeral Home Chapel from 5-8 pm Tuesday, January 26, 2010, followed by the funeral services at 8:00 pm, with Rev. Ransom Hall and Rev. James Suggs officiating. Burial will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in Union Cemetery.
