Elizabeth Jane “Lizzie” Barnes Dunn, 80, of Newport, died February 17 at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County.
She was retired from Stokely Brothers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie (Red) Dunn; grandson, Everette Fox; brothers, Carl, George and Lemuel Barnes; and sister, Claire Belcher.
Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Charles Wilson and Shelby and Charles Sweeten, all of Newport; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Brenda and Ronnie Allen of Sevierville, Susan and Phillip Duckett of White Pine, and Kristie and Bob Somers of Florida; granddaughter, Karen Francis of Dandridge; grandsons, Charles Sweeten Jr. of Knoxville and Scott Sweeten of Newport; and great-grandchildren, Chandler Duckett, Claire Francis and Jacob Somers.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, February 19, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
The funeral will be 8 p.m. Friday, February 19, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel with Rev. James McFalls officiating.
Interment will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Dunn Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the Dunn Cemetery for the 10 a.m. interment.
Costner-Maloy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
