MORRISTOWN––Dean Douglas Seals, 65, passed away at his home Sunday, October 28, 2007. He was a member of Roe Junction Baptist Church. Known to many as “Papaw Dean”, he worked for 29 years at BASF and the last 11 years at Lincoln Heights Middle School, where he was enriched with all the friendships that were made with everyone that worked there and all of the children. He enjoyed watching his grandson, Michael Whitt, play football and basketball for the past 9 years. He was preceded in death by parents, the Rev. Horace and Mildred Seals. He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Gwendolyn Nartricia “Cotton” Seals; son, Eddie Seals, of Angier N.C.; daughter, Glenda Gibbs and son-in-law, Tommy Gibbs, of Morristown; grandson, Michael Whitt, Jr.; granddaughters, Madison Seals and Hailey Gibbs. He is also survived by his brother, Paris Seals; sisters, Grovet Parvin, Ilene and Gene Angel; in-laws, James and Gennie Vee Moore, Curtis and Willena Holt, Charles Nichols, and Judy Nichols, several nieces and nephews and good friends, Harley White, Norman Bowlin, Ollie Figgins, Danny Templin, Steve Harris, Rick Cline, and many others. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 31, at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Scott Greene and the Rev. Ronald Winstead officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday evening. Arrangements are by Stubblefield Funeral Hom28
