Helen Marie Hall, born February 26, 1915 and passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2002, after a lengthy illness. She was a strong believer in God and a member of Bridgeport Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Hall graduated from Christ school in Flecher, NC she worked briefly at the Department of Human Service in North Carolina, after marriage, Mrs. Hall moved to the mountains of Cocke County to teach in a one room school, she was a good mother, wife, and friend to many people and a devoted Christian to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edwin Hall; children, Rev. Ty Nease Hall, Texie Sharon McCarter, Malva Jetta Hurley and infant children, Emma viola and Veggie Ruth; sons-in-law, Lee Frisbee and Arnold Buddy Hurley and daughter-in-law, Betty jean Holt Hall; and sister and brother-in-law, Verna and Elwood Wood, of Hampton, VA.
She is survived by children, Betty Jo Frisbee, of Del Rio, Phillip and wife, Maxine Hall, of Bybee, Jackie and husband, Kenneth Frisbee, of Newport; daughter-in-law, Linda Rolen, of Parrottsville; son-in-law, Lowell McCarter, of Parrottsville; 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; also, brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Minnie Fish, of Johnson City; sister, Nina Rhinehart, of Asheville, NC; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hall, of Enoree, SC.
Funeral service was 2 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2002, at the Manes Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Hal Kirk and Rev. Ransom Hall officiating. Interment was in the Frisbee Cemetery. Family received friends 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
