Mrs. Evelean Hensley, 68, of Parrottsville, passed away Monday afternoon, July 18, 2005, at Takoma Adventist Hospital in Greeneville.
She was a member of Browns Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carmon E. Hensley and John L. Self; parents, John M. Jennings and Hattie K. Keller; brothers, Hundall Jennings and Jubal Jennings; sisters, Carrie Jennings, Anna Ruth Johnson, and Lura Morrow.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Judy Hensley, of Parrottsville; Benny and Sharon Hensley, Richard and Tammy Hensley, and Arnold and Veronica Hensley, all of Greeneville; grandchildren, Joshua Hensley, Holly (Charles) Britton, Ashley Hensley, Kalum Hensley, and Nolan Hensley; great-grandchild, Emily Britton; sister, Kate Wilhoit, of Newport; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillie and Clyde Willis and Zura and Junior Huff, all of Parrottsville; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Zola Jennings, of Parrottsville.
Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Keith Hensley, of Limestone, and many very special friends, including Ruth Thomas, of Newport.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 21, 2005, at Browns Chapel Church with Rev. Winfred Shelton and Rev. Jimmy Fillers officiating. The body will lie in state from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Interment will follow services in Mountain View Cemetery in Greene County.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Parrottsville Fire and Ambulance Service, 2059 Highway 321, Parrottsville, TN 37843. Arrangements by Costner-Maloy.
