Eva Magdlene (Arrington) Wilds, age 80, of Newport, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 27, 2012. Mrs. Wilds loved taking care of her church “Fugate Baptist Church” Del Rio, until her health would not allow her to do so. She retired from Wood Products and loved the outdoors. She was preceded in death by her parents Witt and Berlie Arrington; infant son, Victor Wilds, former mate Virgil Wilds; sister, Annie; and brothers, Stoke, J. C, Cecil, and Babe Arrington; great-grandson, Jared Helton; and son-in-law, Ernest Sawyer. She is survived by her daughters, Gail Sawyer, Juanita (Esten) Willis of Del Rio; grandchildren, Melanie Helton, Ben Sawyer, Tina (Todd) Reece, Heath (Jessica) Willis all of Del Rio; great-grandchildren, Jacob Helton, Madelyn Reece, Nathan Reece, Hannah Sawyer, Ethan Sawyer and Victor Helton; brothers, Hoover and L. J. Arrington of Greeneville; and a host of special nieces, nephews and church family. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Fugate Freewill Baptist Church, with Rev. Willie Winters and Rev. Caney Caldwell officiating.. Burial will follow in Houston Valley and Hale Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the church.
