(October 31, 1932 - June 8, 2010) U.S. Veteran Shaver, Billy C. (Bill) age 77 of Loudon, departed this earth Tuesday, June 8th, 2010 and awoke in Heaven. Bill was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending his church, spending time with his family, Sunday afternoon car trips in the country, and especially gardening. Bill liked to boast the first tomato of the season He owned and operated Shaver Produce, distributing fresh produce to the schools, restaurants and grocers in the area. Bill was a wonderful Husband, Father, Stepfather, Uncle, and Papaw who will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by parents, Rev. Ray and Hazel (Malone) Shaver, brother, Joe Shaver, son, Randy Shaver, and infant son, David Lynn. Survivors include wife of 20 years, Betty Wiggins Shaver, son, Ricky Shaver, daughter, Trula Curtis, brother, Johnny Ray and Louise Shaver all of Loudon, stepdaughters, Jennifer Bright Mooresville, NC, Julie Bright, Loudon, sister, Joyce Norris, grandson, Ryan Curtis both of Lenoir City, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services 7:00 PM Wednesday, McGill-Karnes Chapel. Rev. Gary Smith and Mr. Johnny Walker will officiate. Family will gather 9:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home and process to the Loudon County Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 AM interment with full military honors provided by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard. Contributions in memory of Mr. Shaver may be made to the Encouragers Sunday School Class, c/o Josie Russell 4902 Malone Rd. Loudon, TN 37774. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service at McGill-Karnes Funeral Home.
