John Burnett Gentry, age 79 of Radcliff, KY passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. Mr. Gentry was retired from the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Euretha Gentry; one grandson, James Henning; one great-granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Henning; one brother, Eulis Gentry. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gentry of Radcliff, KY; four sons, Jerry Lawson (Pamela) Gentry of California, John Burnett (Ruth) Gentry J.R. of Wisconsin, David Lee (Diane Deborah) of Pennsylvania, William Ernest (Elaine) Gentry of Radcliff, KY; two daughters, Cynthia Ann (Harold Wayne) Smyers of Texas, Euretha Sue (Tommy) Lockard of Radcliff; five brothers and six sisters; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Coffey & Chism Funeral Home with Rev. K. Christian Burton officiating. Burial will be in Otter Creek Cemetery with military honors.
