Mr. Allen J. French, age 93, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital.
He was a member of New Home Freewill Baptist Church.
Mr. French retired from American Enka after 32 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mabel French and his sisters Exie Smith and Girdie Samples.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Winford and Brenda French of Del Rio, daughter and son-in-law Wanda and Charles Smith of White Pine, grandchildren Chris (Lori) Padgett of Bybee, Mike (Lisa) Padgett of Talbott, Carlene (John) Murray of Newport, Alicia (Pat) Tanner, and Julie (James) Sanders, all of Michigan, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Greene officiating. Interment will follow in New Home Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
