He was retired from Ford Motor Co. after 27 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Lizzie Dyke Calfee; brothers, Paul Calfee and William (Bill) Calfee; and sister, Elsie Place. Survivors: wife of 35 years, Mary Margaret Kelly Calfee of the home; children, Diane Ayers and Susan Gantt of Memphis, Ted Calfee of Cleveland, and Marie Calfee, Mary Ruth Calfee, Shirley Calfee, and Carolyn Calfee; sisters, Helen Bailey of Bradenton, Florida, Mae French of Morristown, Jean Freshour of Knoxville, and Irene Stevenson of Clarksville; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, November 22, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 22, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Napier officiating. Interment will be in New Home Cemetery. Costner-Maloy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
