(April 25, 1971 - April 14, 2008) Robert “Byron” Jarnagin, age 36, of Newport, went this world suddenly on, Monday, April 14, 2008. He was a loving husband and father. He was an avid turkey hunter and outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Jarnagin; grandparents, David and Maxine Carver and Claude and Mary Edith Jarnagin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gordon and Phyllis Thornton. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Thornton Jarnagin; son, Rob Jarnagin; daughter, Sarah Jarnagin; mother, Brenda Jarnagin; brother and sister-in-law, David and Linda Jarnagin; nephew, Dawson Jarnagin; nieces, Danielle Mooneyham, Abby Jarnagin, Alayna Jarnagin; and great nephew, Mason Mooneyham ; several, aunts, uncles, cousins and other family; and his trucking buddies. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Thursday, April 17, 2008 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Freddrick Long and Marta Cogburn officiating. Burial will be 1:00 pm Friday, April 18, 2008 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Thursday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Newport Federal Bank Scholarship Fund for Rob and Sarah Jarnagin, 107 West Broadway, Newport, TN 37821.
