Marlene Sue Jenkins, age 64, of Newport, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2005, at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darnell and Susie Freeman. She is survived by her husband, Jerry E. Jenkins, of Newport; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Michelle Jenkins, of Madisonville, Tenn.; daughter, Angie Jenkins, of Newport; brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and JoAnn Freeman; sister, Darnella Woody; sisters and brothers-in-law, Orlevia and Leroy Ellison, Bobbie Gayle and Jimmy Williamson, Henrietta and Wesley Butler, all of Newport; granddaughters, Jessica Sisk and Chelsie Jenkins; two special nephews, Leroy Ellison Jr. and Ryan Nichols; also several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2005, in Union Cemetery with the Rev. Arthur Willis and the Rev. Gale Miller officiating. Manes Funeral Home in charge.
