Creola Duckett, age 84, of Manassas, Virginia, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at her residence.
Mrs. Duckett was born March 31, 1926, in Tennessee, daughter of the late Lawson and Carrie Henderson Ford. She was also preceded in death by one daughter Phyllis Duckett, one sister Genevie McGaha, and one brother Edgar Ford.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Lester P. Duckett; two children Patty Utt of Manassas and Gilbert Duckett and wife Joannie of Broad Run, Virginia; five grandchildren Lois Renee Utt, Jason Utt, Amber Terrant, Austin Duckett, and Adam Duckett; 12 great-grandchildren; nephew Tim Ford, and many other nieces and nephews in Tennessee.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, with funeral services following at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Billy G. Tatum officiating. Interment will follow in Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.
