She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted R. Dorsey of Cosby; parents, Wesley and Polly Phillips Barnes, High Point, NC; sons, Jack Dorsey of Cosby, Tommy Joe Dorsey of Cosby, Henry Dorsey (Infant), Jerry Dorsey (Infant), NC; daughters, Dawn Garver, Polly and Patricia Dorsey (Infants); brothers, Douglas, Sherman, James, Junior and Roosevelt Barnes; sisters, Alma Hankins and Lucille Kirkman, all of High Point, NC. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Linda Dorsey of Dandridge, TN; son, J. W. Dorsey of Newport, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Ella D. and Paul McMahan of Greenville, NC; daughter, Rebecca D. Cureton and companion, Gary James of Cosby, TN daughter-in-law, Reva Dean Dorsey of Cosby, TN; son-in-law, Jerry Garver of Newport, TN; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Roger Black officiating. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am, Friday, August 24, 2007 in Ogle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
