KNOXVILLE—Zanna Mae Cates Allen, age 90, of Knoxville, passed away, Wednesday, February 7, 2001. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Evolyn Cagle and Eloda Keen. She is survived by her brothers, Earl Cates, of Mullica Hill, New Jersey, and Ben Cates, of Hartford; sisters, Doris Lynch, of Knoxville, Beatrice Freeman, of Del Rio, and Naoma Seay, of Del Rio; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be 2 p.m., Saturday, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, at Grassy Fork, with Rev. Fred Gregg and Rev. Randall Freeman officiating. The body will lie in state from 1:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the funeral, with burial in Cates Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., Friday, at Manes Funeral Home. Manes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
