Ex-Townsend councilwoman, restaurateur dies She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She retired from Union Carbide, Oak Ridge, with 33 years of service. She lived in Knoxville for 40 years where she was one of the first employees of the Y-12 Oak Ridge Plant and a founding member of Messiah Lutheran Church. After retirement, she lived in Townsend where she was a co-owner and manager of Carriage House Restaurant, owner of Ye Ole Mill Campground. She served 12 years on the Townsend City Council, was a founding board member of the Little River Railroad and Lumber Museum and served in various capacities with Townsend Volunteer organizations and causes, including the volunteer fire department, elementary school. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Glenn A. Bradshaw; infant daughter, Glenda Lee; parents, Sheridan H. and Callie Webb Wear; brother, Bobby H. Wear; sister, Mary Charles Wear Myers. Survivors include daughter, Rebecca Clearman of Townsend; grandchildren, Evan and Savanah Clearman of Townsend; brother, Bill D. Wear of Alcoa; sisters, Helen W. Talley and Margaret W. Greaser, both of Townsend, Ruth W. Culvahouse of Ten Mile, Evelyn W. West of Clinton, and Shirley W. White of Maryville. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. today in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with the Rev. Darren Wiggington officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment with the Rev. Rick Clowers officiating.
