WHALEY, WAYNE ALLEN - 85, of Pigeon Forge, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2000, at Ft. Sanders-Sevier Medical Center. Her beloved husband, Frank Whaley, was deceased since 1967. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Whaley and Nelle McCroskey Allen and step mother, Mattie Sims Allen. Also deceased are sisters and brothers-in-law, Henry and Zelma A. Campbell, Horace and Lida A. Williams, Kate Allen, Mack McCartt and Grace McCartt Gheen, Joe Gheen, Kenneth and Ina Allen, Von Allen, Harry and Vose A. Whitney and Richard Wright.
Her one surviving sister is Gladys A. Wright of Knoxville and sister-in-law, Josephine Allen of Phoenix. Surviving family include daughter and son-in-law, Jane W. and Joe D. Ogle of Pigeon Forge; grandchildren, Kent and Jennifer Ogle, Keith and Carla Ogle, Kimberly O. and Brentley Cole; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Katelyn Ogle. Surviving in-laws, Helen Hager, Nan W. and Charles Runion, Eugene and Edith Whaley, all of Pigeon Forge. Deceased in-laws are Harold, Everette, and Arnold Whaley and Charlotte W. Simpson. There are 13 living nieces and nephews. Mrs. Whaley was a graduate of Knoxville Business College and was employed most recently with Jim Parton - CPA, Gatlinburg 5 & 10 and Smoky Mountain Woodcarvers Gallery. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pigeon Forge. Devoted friends and caretakers were Helen Hager, Nan Runion, Faye Smith, Art and Buelah DeBoard, Ernestine White, Reba Houser, Judy Dixon and Coleen Branch. Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Friday at Atchley's Smoky Mountain Chapel with Rev. W. W. Cope officiating. Private burial will be in Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at Atchley's Smoky Mountain Chapel, Pigeon Forge.

Wayne Allen Whaley, 85, of Pigeon Forge, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000 at Fort Sanders-Sevier Medical Center.
She was employed with Jim Parton CPA, Gatlinburg Five & Ten, and Smoky Mountain Woodcarvers Gallery and was a member of First Baptist Church Pigeon Forge.
Her parents were James Whaley and Nelle McCroskey Allen, and her stepmother was Mattie Sims Allen.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Jane W. and Joe D. Ogle of Pigeon Forge; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Gladys A. Wright of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Josephine Allen of Phoenix; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Whaley, and several sisters and brothers-in-law.
Funeral service is 7:30 p.m. Friday at Atchley's Smoky Mountain Chapel with the Rev. W.W. Cope officiating. Private burial will be in Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
