Lynch, Paul Jerome (Jerry) –age 71, of South Knoxville, departed this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family. He was a member of Scottish Rite, York Rite, 32nd Degree Mason,Klown Korp Kerbela Temple. Retired from the United States Postal Service and the Knox County School System having worked at Gibbs High School. He served with the United States Army during the Korean War. Preceded in death by parents, Herman and Estella Lynch; brothers, Jay and Bill Lynch; sisters, Elizabeth Lynch, Nancy Berkey and Cathy Hudson.
Survivors
Survivors include wife, Gayle Ivey Lynch; son, Adam Lynch; daughter and son-in-law, Trina and Shawn Iverson; foster sons and wives, Joe and Lisa Troutt, Don and Angie Troutt; stepchildren and spouse, Mark and Julie Sewell, Chris Sewell and Lori Dyer; several loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brothers, Robert, Henry and Jim Lynch; sisters, Alma Mitchell, Sue Jones and Ruby Corum; sister-in-law, Lucy Lynch. Service
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, May 7, 2009 in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Bobby Hollingsworth officiating. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery on Friday, May 8, 2009 for an 11:00 AM interment services.
