SHULTS, RALPH - age 72 of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday morning at the Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. He attended the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Viskase. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. He was on the board of Directors for the U.C. Employee Credit Union. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 120 in Loudon, V.F.W. Post No. 156 in Sweetwater. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bedford and Relda Shults; brothers, Harold, Elmerson, and Carl Shults; sister, Marie Shults; step son, Jerry Hamilton.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Faye Shults, step children, Darlene Powers and husband, Gaston, Nina Hamilton, Teresa Barton and husband, Kevin, Darrell Hamilton and wife, Jo Ann and Bobby Hamilton, all of Lenoir City; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren; brother, Shirley Shults of Sevierville; sister, Jewell Crick of Sevierville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 p.m. Monday with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Russell officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to proceed to Lake View Cemetery for graveside services and interment at 11 a.m. with military honors by American Legion Post 120.
