Alma Fay Blazer, 91, of Parrottsville, died Saturday morning, August 8, at home.
Mrs. Blazer was born August 30, 1906.
She was Parrottsville’s oldest resident.
She was a member of Parrottsville United Methodist Church and a member of the Newport Chapter 461 O.E.S.
She was preceded in death by parents, Lula Wright Barger and Cam and Bernice Barger; and her husband, Luke Blazer.
Survivors: daughter, Emma Jean Fowler of Parrottsville; sister, Jane Barger Dawson of Bybee; and granddaughter, Carolyn Sue Fowler, of Oak Ridge. Additional survivors include her niece, Karen D. Zwingman; nephews, Jesse, Donald, Ronald and Tommy Dawson; special grand-nephew, Burnette Harper; special friends, Danese Marshall, Eileen Ottinger, and Evelyn Trentham; and several other friends and relatives.
The funeral will be 8 p.m. Monday evening, August 10, at the Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Charles W. Davis and Rev. Roy Van Miller officiating.
The family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens for the 10 a.m. interment service.
The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday evening and will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday evening at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
Costner-Maloy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
