(July 4, 1941 - November 3, 2015) LB (Lloyd Benjamin) Gorman, age 74, of Newport, went to with the Lord on November 3, 2015. L B was ordained as a Deacon September 9, 1998 at Wilsonville Baptist Church, where he served for many years and was currently serving at English Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Beatrice Gorman; and his brother, James Gorman. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Gorman; daughters, Dorma Jenkins and Vicki (Mickey) Powers; granddaughters, Christen (Jason) and Ashlee (Bobby); great-grandson, Ty; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Gorman; nephews, James (Nina), Jerrod (Angie) Gorman and their children; brother-in-law, Roger (Margaret) Stuart; sisters-in-law, Faye (John) Greer, Tammy (Tommy) Maxwell and their children and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Thursday, November 5, 2015 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jack Bratton and Rev. Tom Shelton officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am Friday, November 6, 2015 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
