O'DELL, JAMES M., JR. - went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2008 after a long illness. He was a member of Dante Baptist Church. He retired from K.U.B. Gas Department. Preceded in death by parents James and Flossie O'Dell; brother Charles O'Dell; sisters Irene O'Dell, Juanita Huling, Margie Day. Survived by wife of 50 years, Edith; daughters and son-in-law, Joyce O'Dell, Cindy and George Whetsell; sons and daughters-in-law Jimmy and Pam O'Dell, Richard and Shirley O'Dell; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister Ruth Kidd. He also leaves many beloved nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law along with many close friends. Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm Friday at Dante Baptist Church with Brother Phillip Murphy and Brother David Snyder officiating. Pallbearers will be Mark Flatford, Tim Whetsell, Randy Whetsell, Kevin Nicely, Michael Whitsell and Larry Huling. Family and friends will meet at 12:15 pm Saturday at Dante Baptist Church to go in procession for a graveside service at Bookwalter Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday at the church. Arrangements by Gentry-Griffey Funeral Chapel.
