Mr. Wayne Hannah, age 70, of Newport, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011, at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville.
He was a retired employee of Lensing Fibers following 42 years of service.
He was a member of Northport Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Haskell and Hazel Hannah and brother-in-law Leroy Shults.
He is survived by his wife Tabbie Hannah of the home; son and daughter-in-law Mark and Emily Hannah of Del Rio; his grandson, who was his pride and joy, Caleb Thomas Hannah; step-grandchildren Jason Johnson, Katie McCarthy, and Brooke and Kevin Ellison, all of Del Rio; sister Lillie Shults of Cosby; sister-in-law Linda Daniels of Newport; and brother-in-law Rev. James (Elaine) Hance of Newport.
Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including a faithful friend Bo Jack.
Wayne's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service is being planned, and those arrangements will be announced at a later time.
