U.S. Veteran Claude Ruble Bryant age 69 of Newport died suddenly Sunday June 15, 2008 at his home. He was a veteran of the U S Army and a retired employee of Rhyne Lumber Co. He was preceded in death by his wife Otabe Moore Bryant, father Ottis Bryant, and infant sister June Bryant. He is survived by his sons, Tony and Karen Bryant, and Keith and Angie Bryant, daughter Heather Bryant and Chris Bair , granddaughter Hope Bryant, mother Ethel Bryant, brothers Earl and Christine Bryant, Sheryl Bryant, sisters Dorothy and Herbert Williamson, Rosie and John Phillips, Judy and Glen Rolen, Linda and Crayton Norris, Martha and Darius Crum, Louella and Randall Butler all of Newport, also several nieces , nephews, other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008, in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Hannon-Bryant Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday June 17, 2008 at Manes Funeral Home.
