COPE, PAUL SPENCER, age 57, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Paul thoroughly enjoyed life. He loved riding his bicycles and motorcycles and being outside in the sunshine. He was sweet, kind and had a ready smile that would warm your heart. Paul was a devoted and loving husband and friend. His time with us was far too short and he will be sadly missed. Paul is preceded in death by mother, Marilyn Anderson Cope. He is survived by: wife: Carol Swaggerty; father and stepmother: Bill and Alza Cope; family: David and Pam Cope, Elizabeth and Mike Smith, Jim Cope and Nancy McBee; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as longtime friends, Richard Brewer, Tom Skoda and many others. A private family memorial service will be held at 6 pm on Monday, October 26, 2009 at Middlebrook Pike Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 30, 2009 from 5-8 pm on the 6th floor of the Sunsphere, 810 Clinch Avenue West, Knoxville, TN 37902. Friends and family are invited to come together to reminisce and share stories as we remember Paul and celebrate the life he lived to the fullest. "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."
